The Moon was particularly impressive in May, with high pressure producing particularly clear skies. I saw many others’ photographs, and I was inspired to try some of my own.
I used a variety of settings in both taking and processing the images.
May 29 (daylight)
May 29 (night)
The object to the right of the Moon is a star rather than a processing artefact – it appears on several different images. (I might have erroneously removed it from the previous image!)
(Note: different exposures were taken of the Moon and the fireworks on the same evening and subsequently merged. The Moon was visible in the same position in the sky, the same size and phase as depicted.)
